Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Environmental Engineering ..
About
Zimbabwe was one of the first countries to embrace and act on the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), this culminated in the making of the Environmental Engineering Programme in the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology. The Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Environmental Engineering mainly seeks to address the sustainable development goal target 7A which seeks to “Integrate the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programs; reverse loss of environmental resources”
Environmental engineering involves identification and design of solutions to real life problems such as climate change, energy conservation, water pollution, unsafe drinking water, industrial & mining liquid and solid waste management and unsustainable resource extraction for construction activities. Our programme is unique as it is the first and only such program in Zimbabwe.
