Madziwa Teachers College is located in Shamva District, about hundred kilometers from Harare. The College was opened in 2005 in the premises of the former Madziwa mining company.

While conducting a workshop on Stigma and Discrimination, it was interesting to note that lecturers conduct counselling sessions to students and to people from the surrounding community who come to seek counselling from the lecturers.
