SASSA SRD R350 Grant Bank Account Information Update
The South African Social Security Agency continues to play its part in assisting the citizens of South Africa through the Social Relief Distress grant, which aims to suppress the inability of citizens to meet their basic needs.
However, the department is currently failing to make sure that every deserving applicant receives their grant payment in time as they provided incorrect details.
Thus, SASSA urges all the Covid-19 SRD R350 grant applicants to make sure that they provide the correct banking details. This is to avoid delayed payments and the overall processing of applications.
Old applicants may also update their srd.sassa.gov.za banking details on the website.
How to Update R350 Grant Bank Account Information
Bank account details may be updated on the SRD website: srd.sassa.gov.za
1. Scroll down to the “How to change my banking details” section, add your ID number, and click submit.
2. You will then receive an SMS on the mobile number registered during the application with a secure link to update your srd.sassa.gov.za banking details. The link will be valid for use for 30 minutes.
3. Click on the link you received via SMS and carefully follow the instructions.
Please make sure that you are the owner of the bank account details you provide, as SASSA will not be making any payments to another person’s account.
Also, if you choose to receive the money via the money transfer option, please ensure that the number you receive the SMS is registered in your name.
