Undergraduate application overview

Every year in January the University invites applications for the degree programmes on offer from prospective students. The advertisement is flighted in the national press and on the University website.

University of Zimbabwe programmes have varied selection criteria depending on the nature of the programme. To apply an applicant must meet the minimum entry requirements; however, acceptance depends on competition from the other applicants.

Degree and Entrance Requirements

For admission to programmes of study at the UZ for any first degree, a student must have attained qualifications in the ZIMSEC / CAMBRIDGE examinations or equivalent as specified under special requirements.

All applicants MUST have passed at least five subjects, including the English language at ‘O’ level and at least two ‘A’ Level passes.
