Bindura University of Science Education Department of Accountancy
Introduction
The Department of Accountancy is one of the six departments in the Faculty of Commerce. Its first intake of students was in 2004 and these graduated on 16 September 2008.
Vision
The department of Accounting seeks to be a leader in advancing innovative learning and research that respond to the local and international environment, and to develop leading graduate and undergraduate accounting programmes which meet the needs of all stakeholders.
Mission
The department exists to produce future business leaders grounded in the fundamentals required for the accounting profession, and prepared to meet real world challenges.

Employment Opportunities
Most Bachelor of Accountancy Degree holders work in private sector and the public sector as
- Financial accountants
- Management accountants,
- Internal auditors,
- Tax planning experts
- Financial managers.
- Some accountants go into private practice and others undergo further professional training to be Chartered Accountants.
