Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a Lecture/ Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor and Professor are grouped into 3 main categories which are:

Teaching-the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.
Community and University Services-the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conference and seminars, among others
Research-the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University through publications.

DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

POST: LECTURER/ SENIOR LECTURER/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ PROFESSOR (2 POST)

Qualifications

BCom Tourism and Hospitality Management (Hons) Degree or equivalent
MCom Tourism and Hospitality
Must be a registered PhD/Dphil candidate
A Doctorate is an added advantage

Sustainable Tourism Management
Food and Beverage Management
Principles of Tourism Marketing
Tourism Operations Management

DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING

POST: LECTURER/ SENIOR LECTURER/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ PROFESSOR (2 POST)

Qualifications

BCom Accounting (Hons) Degree or equivalent
MCom Accounting
Must be a registered with a professional accounting body/ institute
A Doctorate is an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate should be able to supervise students’ dissertations and teach at least three modules from the following areas

Accounting Reporting
Tax law and Practice
Company Law and Financial Reporting
Cost Accounting and control
