A career in accountancy or chartered accountancy equips one to reap the benefit of all professions that exist in the world. It is therefore, not surprising that many accountants find themselves at the helm of variety of companies such as merchants or commercial banks as Chief Executive Officers (CEO’s) or Chief Financial Officers CFOs. In fact, in South Africa and the world CA (SA) is a single qualification with majority of directors in the boards of directors of JSE listed firms.
If chartered accountancy takes you to the top, then University of Limpopo is the only University that can train you better in your endeavors to become one. In line with the broader motto of finding solutions for Africa, the School of Accountancy boosts on its key strengths of understanding rural based learners than any other.
Although the school has been in existence for less than 10 years, we pride ourselves that our first SAICA accreditation obtained in 2011, let to various successes in the CA training arena, including but not limited to the accreditation of our Bridging Certificate in Theory of Accountancy (BCTA) and the first Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy (PGDA) in the province which was launched by UL in 2017.
