Psychology at UWC

The Department of Psychology has a dedicated staff compliment of twenty five. Inclusive, in this compliment are seventeen academic staff, and four administrative officers.
Research and community development remain the Department’s key focus areas thereby contributing to the University of the Western Cape’s Institutional Operating Plan (IOP).
As an academic department, Psychology aims to attract, retain and ensure the successful throughput of the country’s top young minds. We serve a diverse range of students; from other African countries, exchange to South African students. All students are equally developed with the same learning philosophy and scholarly goals in mind.
Our hope is that when students leave the Department and the University, they will showcase their UWC graduate attributes of involved scholarship, social citizenship and remain life long learners!
