SCHOOL OF EDUCATION BOOKKEEPER / SENIOR PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

STADIO (Pty) Ltd is inviting applications for the position of Bookkeeper/ Senior Payroll Administrator.
To process and manage payroll and assist Financial Manager at the Musgrave or Centurion Campus.
 
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
 
Payroll responsibilities:

  • Manage the payroll to ensure employers and third parties are paid timeously and accurately
  • Execute and oversee the day-to-day operations of payroll in line with the standard operating procedures
  • Ensure accurate capturing of payroll
  • Responsible for checking payroll input for hiring, resignation and terminations
  • Administration of data for employee benefits
  • Update and maintain employee data on payroll
  • Enter payroll information and maintain accurate files
  • Respond to employee queries on payroll and resolving payroll issues

 
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

  • General Accountant liaison
  • Assist Finance Manager with monthly reconciliations and annual financials
  • Supply all information, documents, and reports as required
  • BEE administration
  • Creation and maintaining of file for annual Audit
  • IOD administration
  • Generate invoicing and credit notes when required
  • Action and carry out tasks in the finance department effectively and accurately
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
  • Maintenance of documents
  • Assist with monthly reports
  • Accurately process customer and supplier invoices in the accounting system
  • Ensure month-end deadlines are meet for timeous payments
  • Banking Administrator

 
Minimum Requirements | Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years working experience in a similar position. Formal payroll qualifications will be an advantage

  • Finance related certificate/diploma will be an advantage
  • Familiar with statutory returns and submissions
  • UIF procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Total Guaranteed Packages and structured remuneration
  • Strong knowledge of employees’ tax and payroll systems
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of financial packages
  • Ability to build good relationships in a multi-faceted and diverse environment

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION PGCE APPLICATION REVIEWER (CENTURION CAMPUS)

STADIO (Pty) Ltd is inviting applications for the fixed-term contract position of PGCE Application Reviewer at the Centurion Campus
 
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure PGCE Applicants adhere to minimum requirements  prescribed by DHET to be approved for the programme
  • Assess the academic transcripts of applicants for the STADIO PGCE and recommend Senior Phase and FET subject specializations the applicant will qualify to enroll for
  • Work with another Panel Member to assist with approvals
  • Liaise with relevant academic and administrative staff throughout the re review and approval process
  • Provide recommendations for students who do not meet the entry requirements and would like to pursue the PGCE

 
Minimum Requirements | Qualifications:
Minimum BEdHons or equivalent relevant qualification

  • Teaching, learning and/or administration experience in Higher Education
  • Sound knowledge of the Minimum Requirements for Teacher Education Qualifications (MRTEQ) policy
  • Sound knowledge of and experience on the PGCE structure and curriculum
  • Experience in admission requirements for PGCE and/or any post-graduate qualifications
  • Familiar with SharePoint, spreadsheets and Word

 
Additional requirements:

  • Available to participate in training and review workshops – extensive online training will be provided
  • Must have own PC/laptop and connectivity
  • Willing to work from home

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION STUDENT ADMINISTRATION AND SUPPORT OFFICER (MUSGRAVE CAMPUS)

STADIO (Pty) Ltd is inviting applications for the position of Student Administration and Support Officer at the Musgrave Campus.
 
The primary task of the is to provide first-line information, advice, guidance and assistance to students and visitors on a variety of issues such as career, finance and registration.
 
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls, emails, web enquiries of past, current and prospective students
  • Attending to and resolving HelpDesk requests
  • Assist students with the admission and registration process to ensure appropriate guidance is provided regarding programme and qualification requirements and financial obligations
  • Provide prospective students with the highest level of customer service through effective phone, email and face-to-face communication
  • Build and maintain good relationships with students, customers and colleagues
  • Review enrolment/registration documentation received from prospective and returning students and ensure all required information is obtained
  • Maintain a deregistration list per programme
  • Maintaining student records of new and returning students
  • Archiving of student records of past students
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the ethos, organisational policies and procedures of the Student Administration and Support Office
  • Provide academic and general administrative functions including maintaining databases, creation of spreadsheets, filing and photocopying to support the work of the Student Administration and Support office
  • Ensure the efficient processing of student academic administration, maintain the personal and academic student profile of all registered students’ information on the Student Information Management Systems (SIMS)
  • Deal with routine personal and telephone enquiries from students, members of the public, outside agencies and staff and analyse queries, complaints and support request data relating to the campus in order to improve the student experience
  • Compose letters such as Registration confirmation; authentication letters; and graduation confirmation letters
  • Provide accurate, relevant and up-to-date information to staff, students, parents and the public
  • Keep manual and computerised records up to date and collect statistical information to monitor activities against key performance indicators and service level agreements
  • Manage Assessment administration on the campus to ensure an efficient and well-run examination period
  • Manage the application process and schedules of missed assessments such as the collection of medical certificates and letters for students who have missed assessments
  • Assist with the campus graduation administration and graduation ceremonies
  • Arrange consultation between students and academic staff; record and maintain student correspondence, registration and exam results
  • Ensure the Student Administration and Support staff are working together and completing tasks
  • Participate in team training and development activities

Minimum Requirements | Qualifications:
Matric plus one-year relevant qualification

  • Two years relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Experience and competency in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Experience in the use of Student Information Management System (SIMS) or equivalent
  • Experience in the use of Moodle and Canvas
  • Experience in the use of FreshDesk is an advantage
