Mission

The faculty aims to provide quality and relevant business, economics and entrepreneurial education to students in a stimulating and conducive learning environment.

We seek to produce and nurture practitioners and captains of commerce and industry capable of contributing to both local and global economies through excellent teaching, relevant research and the transfer of knowledge and skills to the broader community.

To achieve this, the faculty will be guided by the following values; learning, diversity, leadership, integrity, excellence, student-centredness, discipline, and commitment.

Welcome to the Faculty of Commerce!  I’m the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and my name is Professor Blessing Maumbe.

The Faculty of Commerce started in 2004 and is one of the largest faculties at BUSE with an enrolment of almost 2000 students spread across 6 departments with a faculty establishment of 60 Lecturers and 12 support staff members. The Faculty contributes significantly to the nation through human resource development in business and financial management, marketing, and public policy. It has also grown rapidly by adding new academic programmes that include new graduate programmes, executive development programmes, and short courses.
